Transfer ownership of a Google Classroom
When you transfer ownership of your class, you can't undo the transfer.
- Go to classroom.google.com.
- Click the class
People.
- Next to the teacher's name, click More
Make class owner. - Click Invite.
You get a confirmation email when the transfer finishes.
Who owns class materials after a transfer?
After you transfer class ownership, the new primary teacher owns:
- The class Google Drive folder
- Materials in the class templates folder
- Turned-in student work
Who owns deleted materials?
If you have a G Suite for Education account and you deleted files before the ownership transfer, you remain the owner of the deleted files.
