Access school accounts from home - A Guide for Parents

In order to make it simple as possible for students to log in to school resources at home. We provide all of our students with a Google G Suite account. We recommend they use the Google Chrome browser to access these resources which can be downloaded from here.

The Really Important Step to keep your data private: If you already have Chrome installed or have just installed it, it’s important that you now create a profile for each user (child or adult) that will be logging into the Computer. A guide to sharing Chrome with others can be found here. If you’re using a Chromebook the process is slightly different and can be viewed here.

Adding another person to Chrome for your child(ren) is important so that you don’t get your own personal, or other peoples links, history and saved password mixed up with your child(ren)'s school account.

How to access our remote learning links:

To make the process of accessing resources easier we have created a webpage which is - http://students.baxtercollege.co.uk/ a video explaining the how to access and use the intranet page can be found here

Students will need their email address and password to access the resources, Google Classroom etc. If they can’t remember their email address or password please contact SAET IT Support.

Your child doesn’t need a copy of Office to complete their work. They can use the tools available in Google Docs to create documents, presentations (slides) and spreadsheets (sheets).
