Wonde - A Guide for Parents

In order to make it simple as possible for students to log in to school resources at home. We provide all of our students with a Wonde account which is accessible using Emoji passwords. We recommend they use the Google Chrome browser to access these resources which can be downloaded from here.

The Really Important Step: If you already have Chrome installed or have just installed it, it’s important that you now create a profile for each user that will be logging into Wonde. A guide to sharing Chrome with others can be found here and if you prefer there is a video guide available here.

Adding another person to Chrome for your child(ren) is important so that you don’t get your own personal, or other peoples links, history and saved password mixed up with your child(ren)'s school account.

How to access Wonde:

Your child(ren) will have been given an emoji login by their teacher or the school office. Enter the url underneath the Emoji: https://wonde.com/emoji, then enter the name of your child(ren)'s school (check the postcode if there are multiple options), click Login with Emoji Password and finally enter the password (emoji) you’ve been provided.

Once logged in they will be greeted with a dashboard where they will have access to the school resources i.e:

  • Google Drive

  • Google Classroom

  • Google Docs

  • Email (High Schools only, this is disabled in Primaries)

There is 3 types of tiles when logged in

  • Single sign on

  • Saved passwords

  • Link tile

Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication process that allows a user to access multiple applications with one set of login credentials, Apps like TT Rockstars, Education city

Saved Passwords are programs for which IT Support will import passwords into Wonde for students to use, for example (Scratch, Oxford reading buddies)

Link tile is a tile which just takes you to a web page.

Your child(ren)'s teacher will be in regular communication to set work and check on progress.

In order to access Google Meet your child will need to be logged into their own account using the process above. Staff have been asked not to allow connections from outside the organisation in order to ensure safeguarding of our students.
